Akela Marie + Co. was created from a belief that changed the way I see my life: your life is not simply happening to you. You have the power to create it. I believe the way we think, what we believe, where we place our attention, and who we choose to become shapes the life we experience. When I began living with that awareness, it changed the way I saw myself, my choices, and what was possible for my life.
Akela Marie + Co. is an extension of that belief — a space where beauty, intention, self-connection, and creation come together. Through the products I create, the experiences I offer, and the teachings I share, my intention is bigger than helping women feel good in the moment. I want women to remember their power, become more intentional about the lives they’re creating, and see just how much is possible for them.
Because once you understand that you’re creating your life, you can stop living by default and start creating on purpose.

Waist beads are where this work became tangible for me.
I believe there is power in becoming more aware of yourself — your body, your thoughts, your choices, and the life you are creating.
For me, waist beads are one expression of that awareness. They can be beautiful, sensual, and expressive. They can bring awareness to changes in your body. And when you choose an intention for them, they can become a physical reminder of something you have decided for yourself.
The power has never been in the beads. The power is in you.
That belief is at the heart of Akela Marie + Co. Through beautiful products, meaningful experiences, and the teachings I share, I encourage women to think differently, live more intentionally, and see what becomes possible when they recognize the power they already have.
I see Akela Marie + Co. as a reflection of the way I believe life can be lived — with awareness, intention, possibility, and the understanding that we are active participants in what we experience.
My life is an expression of this work — evidence of what becomes possible when we become conscious of the way we think, recognize the beliefs shaping our experiences, and begin choosing differently.
