Akela Marie + Co was created from my personal journey of becoming more intentional, self-aware, and connected to the life I truly desired.
For years, I was doing all the things — working, building, showing up for everyone around me — but still feeling disconnected from myself. Through journaling, reflection, creativity, and a deeper desire for alignment, I began to understand that our thoughts shape the way we experience life.
That realization changed everything.
This brand is rooted in beauty, mindset, femininity, intentional living, creativity, and expansion. My hope is to create a space where women feel seen, inspired, calm, connected, and reminded of what’s possible for their lives.

Waist beads became meaningful to me long before they became a business.
After discovering them through someone whose style I admired, I recreated my first strand by hand after it broke — and unexpectedly found peace, focus, and fulfillment in the process.
Over time, waist beads became more than adornment. They became a form of body awareness, confidence, intention, femininity, and self-expression.
To me, they invite women to slow down, reconnect with themselves, appreciate their bodies, and attach meaning to what they wear — while still feeling beautiful, expressive, sensual, and free.
I envision Akela Marie + Co growing far beyond a brand.
Through products, content, community, education, experiences, and future events, my desire is to help women feel more expansive, courageous, intentional, and connected to themselves.
